First act of this year’s AMG Test Drive Days was held at Intercity İstanbul Park, on June 14. Prime target of this event, organized by bluechip and repeated twice a year, is indicated as providing future customes to experience Mercedes AMG brand.
The guests who were invited to this organization where Tourism Media Group General Manager Mr. Volkan Ataman partipated in the test drives as well, had the chance to try 45 AMG brand automobiles on one of the most exclusive Formula 1 tracks of the World.
Ms. Cansu Karabulut, the marketing communication specialist from Mercedes AMG, stated that, 45 AMG models they had brought the invitees together, were the AMGs they had aimed to sell more in Turkish market and mentioned that those models were a bit more affordable ones according to a price oriented view. “Under favour of this event, this is the first time we bring together AMG GT model with the customer,” she said.
Participents of this test drive event, begin with a theoretical and practicle training for about 2.5 hours. These trainings given by Intercity Academy’s team led by Mr. Ahmet Özgün, include such practicle courses as driver safety, controling the vehicle and safety break. Afterwords, the participants who got ready for the track, have a chance to lap the F1 track twise by two different AMG models, of course along with expert drivers. Test drives come to an end with a final lap; it’s a tour called as “taxi tour” which the vehicle is driven by an expert driver and persues a goal of demonstrating the attendent “how to drive essentially.”
Mr. Sercan Eryılmaz, organizer bluechip’s official, mentioned that their primary goal was to help their guests having a very special experience besides a fun weekend and continued, “One of the hidden purposes of this event is to ensure much more conscient individuals to be found in the traffic. With this purpose, such basic inrormations as especially seatbelt usage, accurate steering wheel alignment, correct sejant, accurate seat adjustments and usage of the tires consciously are being shared with our guests.”
